This section is called “ask Sharvette”, so let’s see what we have here. Oh, this is a really great question.
“Sharvette, I’m working on my website and I want testimonials. How do I go about getting testimonials for my website?” That’s great. Number one, let me pat you on the back that you recognize that testimonials are really great social proof. This is evidence that your products and services are hitting the mark.
Here’s a couple of ideas that you can use and leverage to go about getting testimonials for your website. Number one, you can just ask. Go to those customers and ask them…. “Hey, would you mind just texting me, sending me an email, typing, writing out a few sentences of your engagement with me and your interaction with my service?”
The other thing you can do is ask, “Hey, could I get a video testimonial?” You just pull out your mobile phone, hit record and see if that person will actually do a live video testimonial. You can put it in YouTube and you can put it on your website.
You can also get testimonials from Facebook in your business page. There’s a review page where people can put one for poor, five for great, and they’ll leave comments. If you have people that have already reviewed you on Facebook, you can grab that information and drop it all over there onto your website
Those are three tips for helping you get some testimonials so that you can showcase how great you are, and what services you have to offer. If you want to know more about me, check me out at SharvetteMitchell.com.
