What do the numbers say?

46% of American adults now have a smartphone of some kind, and for the first time smartphone owners outnumber users of more basic phones.

The number of Americans owning at least one digital reading device (i.e Nook) jumped from 18% in December 2011 to 29% in January 2012

83% of congregations surveyed, regardless of faith, budget, the congregation’s level of access, or the growth status said their ministry website had features to attract visitors.

Seven in ten adult internet users (69%), or roughly half of all U.S. adults (52%) have used the internet to watch or download video.

73% of search engine users say that most or all the information they find as they use search engines is accurate and trustworthy.

65% of adult internet users now say they use a social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn.

The proof is in the numbers. A website for your ministry is a communication tool for your current members and supporters BUT also a marketing tool for visitors. If your members and visitors are online…you should be also!
