You’re a Born Leader. Prove It. #Speaker

I’ve got something real special for you today.

I’m going to show you how you can propel your business and prove to your audience that you are a born leader. I’m gonna talk to you about speaking at events. Ooh yes! You read that right. Now I know many of y’all freak out at the thought of speaking in public and to tell you the truth, I still get some nervous energy. But I am so blessed with the outcomes of speaking that it is worth it! Aha. Speaking at events is one of the things that can propel your brand forward and help you get the word out about your business. I’m talking about business exposure on point! It’s hands down one of the best ways to build your platform and your brand and intensify your business, so you guys gotta give it a chance!

But I get it. Stage fright is an awful thought, and no one wants that! A lot of people fear speaking in public, so I asked the following question in my Facebook group: What is ONE tip for those that are fearful of speaking in public?

Here are some practical tips from my community members:

Rita Flores – “Be authentic, Don’t memorize.”

LaShawanda Moore – “Speak from your heart and expertise.”

Tameka Webb – “Dress comfortably and in something that makes you feel confident.”

Angela Trina Snead – “Pause, smile…go. Know that you’ve got it and you’re there on purpose… just be yourself.”

Kat Dunn – “Be early (no one else in the room) so that you can go to the stage and visualize the audience in front of you before they actually get there. With your eyes open, picture their faces. See them smiling at you, taking notes and laughing at your jokes. Gesture and visualize yourself responding and reacting to them. See the applause and warm welcome. Do this for at least 15 minutes. It works wonders for pre-event jitters.”

Rebecca D. Huggins – “Connect with the audience by sharing your story!”

I know, I know. It may still feel overwhelming. But remember this: Leaders speak and speakers are perceived as leaders. And you are a BORN leader. So let’s start letting everyone know that!
