Hello. I am Wendy Lee, comedian Quietstorm. I am here to tell you about my platform builder experience. It was wonderful. It was fantastic. It was fantabulous. It was magnificent. It was all that and a bag of chips, but listen, the life-changing thing that happened to me doing platform builders was the brand photo shoot. Man, it made me feel like royalty. That was the first time I had ever had professional makeup done. That was the first time I’d ever gotten my fingernails did and my toenails done, all that marvelous stuff. It made me feel beautiful, and it made me feel like my value had gone up. At the end of that day, I felt like my prices needed to change and it needed to go northward. That was the best thing that happened to me during the platform builders.
What I’d like to add to that is that Sharvette Mitchell is fantastic. She’s fantastic. I love her accessibility. I love how she follows up very quickly. When she says she’s going to send you something, she sent it to you right away. She started on time, that’s beautiful. She is respectful of your time. Some churches don’t even do that, you know what I’m talking about. Anyway.
Then the other thing about Sharvette is that she leads by example. I felt like there was an unspoken expectation for me to level up. When I did my interview for being the author of the book Poor, being a co-author of that book, I felt like I needed to bring my A game even though she didn’t say it, but she led by example with how she is with her branding and with how she presents herself. I felt like I just had to level up. I feel differently. I feel different because I am now a platform builder, and I feel like my value has gone up, and I feel empowered with all of the knowledge that I have.
