A few weeks ago I was invited to participate in a video shoot for CEO Magazine led by Sharon Oliver. I accepted and prepared to show up for the video shoot on this past Saturday.
I arrived with a few outfits, my hair in rollers and a clean face since there was a professional make up artist there.
As I quietly sat at Club CEO studios and observed the other ladies that were going to be in the video, I recognized a few things. They were all younger than me (I was probably twice their age) and they were all very thin and probably had done some modeling in the past.
Here comes the transparent moment… For a split second I almost backed out and was going to leave because I felt like I did not FIT in this look for the video.
But a quiet voice inside of me said…”You belong in every room you go in.” So I got my make up done, fluffed out my pretty bouncy curls in my hair and actually had a pretty amazing time doing the video shoot.
I don’t know if you have ever felt like you did not belong somewhere but I hope this letter encourages you and reaffirms that you absolutely belong there!
