Create your 2023 accomplishments list!

2023 accomplishments

Here’s a soft nudge to remind you to celebrate all of your wins, successes and accomplishments from this year. I know, I know. The last couple of weeks of the year are crazy as we slide out of 2023 and roll into 2024. But I encourage you, within the next couple of weeks before we leave 2023, to sit down and write down, big or small things that you’ve accomplished, that you made it through or that you made it over.

Here are three places to look that will help you with that activity.

  1. If you use a digital calendar, something like Google Calendar or Outlook, go back to January 2023 and look at each and every month. A lot of times you had notes written, activities or things that you did that you probably have forgotten about which count as wins and successes.
  2. If you use a planner or a to-do list and you keep them, look back over your to-do list. Look back over your planners to see the things that you have accomplished.
  3. If you journal, whether that is a digital journal or if you have a paper and pen journal, go back and read your journal from January 2023 until now. That’ll let you see patterns and things that you probably forgot about. Hopefully, you’ll see some growth!

I think it’s incredibly powerful to look back and remind yourself of what you have done because it’s really easy for those of us who are high achievers to have a long laundry list of what did not get accomplished or what didn’t happen in 2023. But I’m sure that there are a lot of lessons learned and a lot of accomplishments.

So here is your permission slip to create your brag list, and that’ll help set you up for success for 2024.

Let me know if you do this exercise or this activity. Use the comments below.

Cheers to your continued success. As you document your successes, the past successes have a way of reaching back and encouraging you.
