#AskSharvette – What do I put on the About page of my website?

Hey, it’s Sharvette Mitchel. I work with female entrepreneurs to help them build their online platform so that they can generate revenue with an amazing online brand.

Welcome to this segment of #AskSharvette, so a question came in. The person wanted to know what they should put on the about page of their website, so that’s a great question because the about page is the most visited page on your website.

When people come to your site, they wanna know, “Who is this?” So, let me tell you what you should have. You should have a picture of you, you should have a bio, you should have information about the business. You can have a formal bio or you can do something a little bit more fun and a little bit more informal if you want people to really know about your brand.

It would be great to have a video actually on that page if you have that available. Some people even put media mentions, things that would intrigue people to wanna know a little bit more about you, so that’s really it. The about page is the most visited page on a website. You wanna make sure people know who you are. Give them a formal introduction. Then, of course, you can also do a casual, more informal introductions. Give them a little splash of maybe the media that you have appeared in and a video if you have a video available.

People like to do business with those they feel like they know, like, and trust. Let the customer, let the client feel like they know you and can trust you by your about page listing. Thanks for stopping by and watching. Check out more about me at sharvettemitchel.com.
