How I started a podcast!

[Video Script] Hi. It’s Sharvette Mitchell and I work with female entrepreneurs to help them build their online platform so that they can generate revenue with an amazing online brand. So you’re here for a segment of #askSharvette.

So someone said, “Sharvette, how did you start your podcast?” So listen I started my podcast over 10 years ago. Yep when podcasts weren’t cool and sexy, when it wasn’t necessarily the hot thing to do. I started my podcast and it’s just been growing ever since. So I use the platform of Blog Talk Radio. It’s been great to me. I love that I get my own phone line for myself. I get a phone line for guests. I’m able to have a chat room. I’m able to have multiple callers. I’m able to have commercials and also some other spots that I can add in along with a live talk show that’s recorded while I’m on air and then while I have a podcast, I have an archive that’s available forever. So literally you could go back and listen to a show I did 10 years ago. That’s the power of podcasting.

So that’s how I got started. I’m still using blog talk radio.
