Video Transcript: Hi everybody! This is Sharvette Mitchell, and I help female entrepreneurs build their online platform, so that they can generate revenue with an amazing online brand. Recently, I was a panel facilitator at an event, and I created these cool cue cards, branded cue cards, that have my logo on the back, and I want to show you how to do this.

Go ahead and open up PowerPoint. We want to get a blank presentation, a new presentation, and of course, in PowerPoint it defaults to this landscape view. You actually want this in portrait, so all you have to do is go to Design, over to the right click on Slide Size, and then you want Custom Slide Size. It’ll give you the option to go Portrait. You want Portrait. Okay. It’s going to ask if you want to maximize, and we want to maximize.

Now, we have the portrait view of a blank presentation, so what I’m going to do is go ahead and just delete this box, and delete this box, because what we need is our logo. At this point, you’re going to go to Insert, and whatever logo you’re using. Whatever you’re going to decide to use for your particular cue cards. It may be the logo of an event, it may be your picture. I’m just scrolling through here, don’t mind all of my pictures, and I’m just going to grab my logo that I’m going to use. All right?

What I like about PowerPoint, is that you’re able to maneuver and manipulate pictures a little bit easier than when you are in Microsoft Word. I put my logo at the top, because remember, when I think about a cue card … And you’re only going to be using the top half. Well, what do you do with the bottom half? You simply copy and paste your logo or your image again, and put it down here. At this point, all you have to do is get this printed in white card stock, and ask them to cut the page down the middle. Laser cut is the best, if you want to go to a professional shop.

Then once you cut it, guess what? You’re going to have cue cards. You can write on the back of them, and while you’re up presenting, it looks professional, and you are branding yourself. Again, get this printed in white card stock, and ask for them to laser cut it down the middle. That’s it for today.

A person without good design skills will most probably think that making cue cards with their logos is a herculean task. Unknown to many, it’s quite easy when the right steps are followed. Many thanks to Sharvette for sharing this quick and easy powerpoint method.

Hi! I never thought to do this and it is really cool. Alot better than messy wrinkled pages or regular cards. I will get online soon and follow your easy directions.
